The baby shower today was so much more than i could’ve asked for!

I was nervous that there wouldn’t be a good turn out. But there were plenty of people! It wasn’t even about the gifts. i just really wanted to see people (especially from work) that i hadn’t seen since i was put on bed rest.

We got all kinds of gifts (way more than i had imagined), including a car seat and stroller that was purchased from a group of people i work with! :) I cant even remember everything we got today! Haha.

This 90-degree weather definitely took a toll on me. We were only outside (under a shelter) for no more than 2 hours. Took me a little bit to open gifts, but by the time i was done opening them, i was exhausted. My body felt numb and my arms and legs felt tingly. I don’t know what was going on, but i blame it on the heat. We got home, and i napped in the cool AC. I haven’t even unpacked everything we got today, but that is my plan tomorrow.

We are FINALLY setting up the crib tomorrow (I’ve said this for the last 3 weekends, haha, but it really is happening tomorrow) and so i am going to sort through everything we have so far, and make a list of things we still need to get, and probably do that shopping next weekend.

I’m glad that the showers are over now. :) Now, i am looking forward to my maternity photo shoot next weekend. :) Need to find a cute outfit to wear!

Baby shower #2 is happenin’ tomorrow!! (haha i heard that a second baby shower is called a “sprinkle”. How cute!

I’m really excited, but at the same time, i’m not.

I think i’m getting to the point where i just feel done with being pregnant. I just don’t care as much as i should, i guess. For baby shower #1, i was so excited, and was constantly talking about it. I feel bad because my boyfriend’s sister is planning the one tomorrow, and i just haven’t talked about it much. I don’t want her to think i am not excited. I really am, and i am so so thankful! I’m just in that “i don’t want to do anything anymore” stages of pregnancy.

I will get to see people from work tomorrow! I haven’t really seen anyone for 3 weeks! The weather is going to suck. It’s supposed to be 92 degrees tomorrow. But, i guess that is better than rain, since the shower is outside at a park.

I cant believe that i will be 36 weeks on Tuesday. I cant remember if i mentioned this, but my doctor said we could have her out by 39 weeks (if she doesn’t come on her own)… that’s just a little over 3 weeks away! AH!

I REALLY am going to wash baby clothes this coming week. Get all the baby things organized and sorted. AND get my hospital bag packed. I REALLY AM! :P

I also do not feel like i look pregnant anymore. I feel like i am just fat. I don’t have a cute round baby bump like everyone else. I think that’s just due to the fact that i was fat before being pregnant. I’m so paranoid and self conscience when i go out anymore. I just don’t look pregnant. :( Just very very VERY overweight. I am ready for Amelia to get here so i can start working out and lose all this weight i put on.. plus some.

I guess i should not complain. I’m being selfish. I need to enjoy these last couple of weeks of pregnancy :) I don’t have much longer! I seriously cannot wait to see my baby girl. To see her cute little face for the first time. My heartburn has been RIDICULOUS and everyone is telling me she will have a lot of dark hair. I just can’t wait to see her. I love her.

What if i dont make it to my Maternity Photo shoot? I dont think i want to reschedule though, only because i know how busy my photographer is this month. But i honestly dont think i will be too upset if i dont get to get them done. Maybe i will just have a friend take a few for me on a nice, sunny day. Just to say i have baby bump photos.

In case i have Amelia before baby shower #2, she may just have to come to the shower too. :P

Im getting really excited but still somewhat nervous with her possibly coming early.

We’ve decided to go shopping for some furniture this week and start setting up the nursery. :) Im really excited but sad that i cant really do much now.

I want to buy a new bedding set for our bed too, just so ours will somewhat go along with Amelia’s nursery bedding. Not matching, but color coordinate. :) Just because it will all be in the same room.
